Unit 4: Solving Polynomials and its graphs

Classwork: Polynomial Activity (pg. 453 #22, 24, 26)
*******************************************************
Directions for each activity problem:
(When graphing make sure the polynomial is in standard form equal to zero and use "x" as your variable instead of the indicated ones)

1. Graph the polynomial, then state the x-intercepts of the polynomial.
2. Factor the polynomial
3. Set each factor to y or f(x) and graph each factor of the polynomial on the same axes as the polynomial already graphed, then state the x-intercepts of each factor.
4. Solve the polynomial using factoring and the zero product property.
5. Explain the significance you noticed between the polynomial and its factors?
